About Us
Earlier, a normal school was operated in this campus. Under the National Education Policy of 1986, the concept of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) was conceived, and to give it a concrete form, in the first phase, DIETs started taking shape in 15 districts of the state. The District Institute of Education and Training, Gorakhpur, came into existence through the BTC training (JTC, which has now been discontinued) being conducted in the normal campus of the district.
